LAHORE: Suspect Faisal, who was detained to torture wife for refusing to dance in front of his friends, has a long criminal history in Punjab.
It has been revealed that Faisal has allegedly been involved in several cases of robbery as he is wanted to Punjab Police in 8 cases of burglary. FIR against him has reportedly been registered in Johar Town, Qila Gujar Singh, and Defence police stations.
The accused during the interrogation, made startling revelation, saying, he and his wife are addicted to the drug and were not in their senses when the sad incident occurred, adding that they were taking ice heroin.
Meanwhile, Asma Aziz, whose husband allegedly tortured her and shaved her head, recorded her statement before a judicial magistrate here on Friday.
Asma's Statement
In her statement, Asma said, "My husband brought two of his friends over to our house and asked me to drink alcohol and dance for them. When I refused, my husband, Faisal, tied my feet and started to torture me."
Asma said that three employees namely Rashid, Amjad and Farzana were present at their residence at the time of the incident. "When I tried to run out of the house, my husband hit me with a manhole cover,” she said.
"My husband shaved off my head," she told the magistrate. She said she called a friend from her employee Farzana's phone. "My friend came over and took me to the police station. When we asked the police officials to conduct a medical examination they asked for Rs5,000. The police neither gave a report nor conducted a medical examination.
Medical reports
The medical examinations of Asma Aziz revealed that she suffered various injuries. According to her medical report which was released on Friday identified six various wounds. Her fingers bore scratch marks and were swollen. The examination report stated that Asma had scratch marks on her left ear and cheek. After the torture, Asma's hearing from her left ear has been affected, it added.
It stated that there was redness and watering in her left eye, however, her vision was not affected. There are also torture marks on her face, the report said.
