PM Imran Khan received message from Narendra Modi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of Pakistan on the National Day of Pakistan, Imran Khan Tweeted.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has received message from Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on the eve of Pakistan Day, March 23.

PM Imran took to Twitter saying, “Received message from Indian Prime Minister Narendra.”

Modi extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of Pakistan on the National Day of Pakistan, Imran Khan said.

“It is time that people of Sub-continent work together for a democratic, peaceful, progressive & prosperous region, in an atmosphere free of terror and violence," Modi told PM Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed PM Modi's message to Pakistani people. 

He said "As we celebrate Pakistan Day I believe it is time to begin a comprehensive dialogue with India to address and resolve all issues, especially the central issue of Kashmir, and forge a new relationship based on peace and prosperity for all our people."

Pakistan and India relations deteriorated following Pulwama attack.

Pakistan on February 27 shot down two Indian  jets that violated its airspace and took one of the pilots Wing Commander Abhinandan into custody.

Pakistani nation will celebrate Pakistan Day on Saturday with traditional zeal and a renewed commitment to work hard for the progress and prosperity of the motherland.

The Day is observed on March 23 every year to commemorate the passage of Lahore Resolution on this day in 1940 when the Muslims of the Sub-continent set the agenda of a separate homeland for themselves.

The Day will dawn with 31-one-gun salute in the Federal Capital and twenty-one-gun salute in provincial capitals.

Special prayers will be offered in mosques after Fajr prayers for the progress and prosperity of the country. National flag will be hoisted on all major government buildings.
