SYDNEY: Several flights have been cancelled due to heavy rain and hail storm in Australia's Sydney.
According to reports, golf ball sized hails smashed in different parts of Sydney after which thousands of people are facing loss of power in the city.
Moreover, flash flooding has been reported in different parts due to heavy rainfall. So far, ninety milliliter of rainfall has been recorded.
Numbers of cars lined up on streets were also seen due to heavy storm. Electricity breakdown has further increased the problems of citizens.
More than 20,000 lightning strikes have been reported in the area.
Meteorology department has predicted further intense rain fall and hail storm for the rest of the week.
