In spite of eagerly counting down days till the release of the much-anticipated Captain Marvel, movie buffs on this side of the globe are met with disappointment yet again as the film will not be getting screened in Pakistan.
The disappointing news was broken by Cinepax that the woman-led superhero film will not be gracing theaters anywhere in Pakistan due to the country not getting the rights to run the film.
"Disney's regional office didn't give Pakistan the rights to run Captain Marvel,” read the statement.
"We truly admire your anticipation for watching Captain Marvel in your nearest Cinepax cinemas. We realize the wait must have made you wonder if it was merely a delay in the release date or else. We are sad to announce that the Disney's regional office didn't give Pakistan the rights to run Captain Marvel. Hence, Captain Marvel is not releasing in Pakistan," it stated further.
Soon after the news was broken, Marvel fans in Pakistan expressed their disappointment for not being able to watch the film.
