Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalanders by 7 wickets, thereby making them finish the tournament last once again in Pakistan Super League's (PSL) fourth season as well in Karachi.
The Sultans were able to easily reach the low target set by Qalanders courtesy of James Vince and Shaan Masood's successful partnership in the inital stage of the innings which led to the highest ever total getting scored in the power play by any team in the tournament's history.
On the fielding end, Lahore could not perform well either as the fielders were unable to defend the boundaries or the sixers either.
In the first innings as well an underwhelming performance was delivered by Lahore Qalanders as Multan Sultans managed to knock down eight wickets in 20 overs, limiting their run total to a mere 140.
From the Qalanders end, David Wiese performed comparatively well for the team as he took frequent boundaries and sixers before getting bowled out by Mohammad Abbas with James Vince taking the expensive catch.
On the other hand, captain Fakhar Zaman scored half a century and put up a good game in the powerplay but despite that could not sustain his pace as he was sent back to the pavilion in the 12th over by Shahid Afridi.
The middle order of Qalanders delivered an bland performance and struggled to exert pressure down to the fielders.
