Internet users want Indian actor Ranveer Singh to essay the character of Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan who was captured by Pakistan as rumours of filmmakers considering to make a biopic based on him surfaced recently.
According to reports published by Indian media, several Bollywood filmmakers are coming together to produce a film on the life of the Wing Commander Abhinandan, after he was taken in Pakistan's custody as his jet was shot down following a violation of the country's airspace.
Following this, netizens are rooting for Ranveer Singh to play the titular role Abhinandan Varthaman on the silver screen.
Meanwhile, Filmfare has reported that ace film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali will hopefully be producing the movie along with Bhushan Kumar and Mahaveer Jain.
The untitled project is to be directed by Abhishek Kapoor, who last directed Kedarnath starring Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput.
