ISLAMABAD: Fayyaz-ul-Hasan Chohan has been removed as Punjab Information Minister following his remarks against Hindus, sources said Monday.
Spokesperson for CM Punjab, said that Fayyaz Chohan decided to tender his resign in meeting with CM Punjab Usman Buzdar.
Sources Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of the derogatory remarks of Fayyaz Chohan and asked Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to take action against the minister by today.
Sources said Chohan was asked to resign and his resignation has been accepted by CM Punjab Usman Buzdar.
Syed Sumsam Bukhari would succeed Chohan, sources said.
Taking notice of Chohan’s remarks, PM Imran Khan said, “There is no place for such derogatory remarks against minorities in Islam.”
