Lahore Qalanders defeated Multan Sultans by six wickets with a record score of 204/4 with the help of the striking partnership by Qalanders captian AB de Villiers and David Wiese in the tenth match of Pakistan Super League's (PSL) fourth edition in Sharjah on Friday.
Multan Sultan openers, James Vince and Omar Siddiq gave Lahore Qalanders a tough time by hitting frequent fours and sixes.
Vince managed to maintain a score of 84 off 41 scoring six sixes and seven fours before he was sent back to the pavilion by Lamichhane.
Apart from Vince, Lamichhane also managed to bowl out Shoaib Malik and Andre Russell.
Despite having a good start in the second innings with fours and boundaries by Fakahr Zaman before getting bowled out, Lahore Qalanders could not keep up the same pace as the Sultans.
The Qalanders started off at a flying start in the second innings with Fakhar Zaman scoring boundaries. However, it was AB de Villiers and David Wiese’s partnership that led the team to victory against the Sultans.
