ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday warned authorities to run institutions transparently or else quit.
Addressing a ceremony here, the prime minister said all institutions of the country would have to be transparent, adding that well-heeled community devours all the money, showing itself as defaulter. This is nation’s money and it should go into right hands, the prime minister stressed.
“We have decided to run the government with sincerity and there will be a transparent government not only in the power corridors of Islamabad, it will also be prevalent across the country”
The prime minister also spoke of the Pak-China Economic Corridor and how besides some foreign forces certain elements in Pakistan were unable to ‘digest’ it.
“Foreign forces are against economic corridor because they don’t want Pakistan to prosper while internal elements couldn’t tolerate anything if they are not in government.”
No question of failure in Operation Zarb-e-Azb
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also said there was no question of failure in ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb in the North Waziristan Agency.
“We have had several successes in Operation Zarb-e-Azb. The attack in Karachi was cowardly.”
Prime Minister Sharif said people who were peaceful and loved Pakistan were targeted in Karachi. “All the criminals will be caught soon and punished.”
At least 46 people were killed on Wednesday when gunmen opened indiscriminate fire inside a bus of the Ismaili community.
