MUNICH: Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan and said, “we should have a cordial relationship with our neighbouring states”.
While talking with media in Germany on Monday night, Bilawal Bhutto expressed his regrets on not being able to elaborate on the exact nature of the Crown Prince’s visit since the opposition was not invited.
The chairman of PPP took this opportunity to accuse Prime Minister Imran Khan’s every visit to any country to date and said that he should go only to those possible candidates willing to provide aid to Pakistan.
He continued by saying that Pakistan’s relations should not merely be transactional but multidimensional.
Bilawal on the Pulwama issue said that the entire nation is on one page, however it is unfortunate that the government thinks only for PTI and not for Pakistan.
Bilawal said the government should have united all political parties adding that it is commendable that no one in the opposition has chosen not to play politics on this issue.
He said hence the opposition was not taken on board, he condemned the attack.
The chairman of PPP went on talking about his political issues saying that he has not been heard at all during the case, and his right to a fair trial is being affected.
The courts have taken suo moto notice under article 184/3 under the premises of slackness of investigation. But how is there a slackness when FIR was registered and case challenged.
Bilawal stressed that a larger bench should be made to address this constitutional issue.
The honourable chief justice has made an observation asking a JIT member why his name was included but there was no answer.
He concluded by complaining that the case should be in Karachi NAB court and not in Rawalpindi.
There is no legal basis for shifting the case to Rawalpindi.
Only procedure has changed after amendment, SC can still take suo motu notice, says Justice Mazhar
