NEW DELHI: Hollywood superstar Will Smith as expressed immense appreciation for Indian actor Ranveer Singh and his impressive performance in Gully Boy.
On his Instagram stories, Will Smith posted a few stills from the song Apna Time Aayega, writing: "Yo, Ranveer! Congrats, man. I'm loving what you're doing with Gully Boy. For me, old school hip-hop here scene... hip-hop all over the world, like that I'm loving it man. Congrats. Go get them," as the 50-year-old actor sings praises of Ranveer in a video compiled by a fan page.
Ranveer's Gully Boy co-star Alia Bhatt and director Zoya Akhtar shared Will's post on their respective Instagram stories. "I love Will Smith," wrote Zoya.
Earlier, Will Smith met Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar on his visit to India in October. He also "learnt the ropes of Bollywood from them."
Gully Boy has been receiving rave reviews since release and has managed to wow critics too.
In just a day, the film collected over Rs 18 crores at the box office and is going strong during the weekend.
