Shehla vs Imran: PPP announces names of electoral candidates from Sindh
As the preparation for the general election 2018 geared up in the country, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Sunday announced the initial list of its electoral candidates from Sindh for the upcoming contests would be held on July 25.

KARACHI: As the preparation for the general election 2018 geared up in the country, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Sunday announced the initial list of its electoral candidates from Sindh for the upcoming contests would be held on July 25.
Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) has announced the list of party candidates for National and Provincial Assembly of Sindh, said a statement shared with media.
PPP, which goes by the name Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian in the polls, has so far fielded a total of 160 candidates for several seats in National Assembly and Sindh Assembly.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will contest from two constituencies, including Larkana (NA-200) and the party’s stronghold Lyari (NA-246), while former president Asif Ali Zardari will take part in upcoming battle from NA-213 (Nawabshah).
Shehla Raza vs Imran Khan
While former Sindh Assembly deputy speaker Shehla Raza will run for NA-243 Karachi against PTI chief Imran Khan where he is expected to contest the election.
Renowned drama actors Sajid Hassan and Ayub Khoso would contest elections from Karachi on PPP tickets.
Other prominent party leaders to contest the elections from Sindh, including former opposition leader Khursheed Shah from Sukkur (NA-206), former Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah would be party candidate from Jamshoro (PS-80), Agha Siraj Durrani Shikarpur (PS-9), Zardari’s sister Faryal Talpur will contest the election from Mirpurkhas, Imtiaz Sheikh from (PS-7), Sohail Anwar Siyal from Larkana (PS-12), Nisar Khuhro from Larkana (PS-11), Saeed Ghani Karachi East-VI (PS-104).

Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) has named Jam Abdul Karim Jokhio to contest from NA-236 (Malir 1), Abdul Hakim Baloch from NA-237 (Malir 2), Agha Rafiullah from NA-238 (Malir 3), Syed Imran Haider Abidi to contest from NA-239 (Korangi), Sheikh Muhammad Feroz from NA-240 (Korangi), Muazam Ali Qureshi from NA-241 (Korangi).
Iqbal Sand from NA-242 (Karachi East), Asad Alam Niazi from NA-244 (East), Farrukh Niaz Tanoli to from NA-245 (East), Abdul Aziz Memon from NA-247 (South), Abdul Qadir Patel from NA-248, Ali Ahmed from NA-250 (West), Naz Baloch from PS-127 (Karachi West).
There are several party aspirants who have so far been left out or not awarded the tickets, including Nabil Gabol, while former chief minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah was not included in initial list, but later it was announced that he has been awarded the party ticket.
Meanwhile, numbers of Pakistan People’s Party's office-bearers and activists have expressed their reservations and concerns over the issuance of party tickets for upcoming elections.
The initial list was displayed on PPP's official website, according to which the party has announced 160 candidates for several seats in National Assembly and Sindh Assembly. The names include:
