MUMBAI: The day has finally arrived when Bollywood’s leading actress Sonam Kapoor will tie the knot with her Delhi-based businessman boyfriend of several years, Anand Ahuja.

Within no time, the couple will be tied in the holy matrimony as per Sikh traditions at Sonam’s aunt bungalow, in Bandra locality of Indian city Mumbai.

Sonam, dressed in an intricate red and gold, heavily-embroidered lehnga by Anuradha Vakil, looks absolutely picturesque, while the groom Anand looks debonair as he dons a golden sherwani with a ruby contrast mala for his big day.

Legendary actor Anil Kapoor (Sonam’s father) was spotted outside the venue greeting the media warmly as he wore an elegant ivory sherwani for her daughter’s special occasion.

Sonam’s cousins; actor Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor were also seen wearing traditional Indian ensembles as per the grand ceremony’s dress theme.

Wedding festivities had kicked off on Saturday at Anil Kapoor’s residence with Sonam’s mehndi function being a total star-studded affair, which saw the likes of top B-town celebrities who attended the event with immense zeal and fervour.

Sonam and Anand’s nuptial will be followed by a lunch for the guests and a reception for the newly-weds that will be hosted in the evening.
