Russian journalist Sophie Shevardnadze is 'shocked and surprised' by her popularity among Pakistanis after her interview with former cricket hero and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan.
Thousands of Pakistanis have followed the the TV journalist associated with the RT International Television network following the interview.
The female TV anchor shared a video clipping with a funny caption in which Imran and Sophie are seen running their hands through their hair simultaneously as she tells Khan they are ready to go on air "
"Well, I and @ImranKhanPTI , at least we have synchronicity on hair matters :D but seriously though, enjoy the interview with this persuasive and charismatic man," she wrote with the video.
In another tweet, she praised PTI chairman as "oh-so-handsome and just as smart".
"The oh-so-handsome and just as smart @ImranKhanPTI talks to me today - on #Afghanistan, #Pakistan and whether it's fair to blame the Afghan War failure on #Taliban who hide out in the Tribal Areas," she said.
Seeing the overwhelming response to her interview, Sophie posted a video of herself, thanking Pakistanis for following her.
