LOS ANGELES: American actor Arnold Schwarzeneggar has posted his first public statement since he underwent a heart surgery on Thursday.
Taking to twitter, the Terminator star reached out to his 4.43 million followers to announce his return and shared gratitude of his progress and the kind messages.
It’s true: I’m back! I went to sleep expecting to wake up with a small incision and woke up with a big one - but guess what? I woke up, and that’s something to be thankful for. Thank you to the doctors & nurses. And I’m truly filled with gratitude for all of the kind messages.
The 70 years old actor and former Canadian governor had undergone the surgery to have an artificial pulmonary valve replaced in his heart on Thursday, which was earlier installed in 1997 after he was diagnosed with an inborn heart defect.
The Hollywood star is also expected to return with a sixth sequel to the Terminator franchise with James Cameron and David Ellison on the board, as he had earlier announced the shooting to began by March.
Earlier last year, it was exposed that the Arnold wouldn’t star as Arnie but rather as the human who was the basis for the T-800’s appearance, Cameron had revealed in an interview.
However, a young eighteenish woman may be opted for the lead, he recently mentioned in March.
Terminator 6 is for now slated for a July 26, 2019 release.
