Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said imprisonment would not be extraordinary thing for Nawaz Sharif as he has already spent time in prison.
In and interview with a private news channel on Friday, he said the former prime minister was previously declared a hijacker and such a verdict against him was also expected now.
"Such decisions can't put an end to his politics,"said he adding neither Nawaz Sharif's political career ended during military regimes nor could anyone do it now.
He said all the talk about Nawaz Sharif going to jail is based on hypothesis.
The prime minister said Sharif could give party policy from jail as there were many examples of people winning elections while being imprisoned.
He said Nawaz Sharif had earlier run his party during Pervez Musharraf.
Commenting on party affairs, Khaqan Abbasi said decisions within the party have always been taken with consultation and this practice would continue in the future too.
"After court's decision, party has decided that Shabaz Sharif would be its head. But, he said decisions taken by Nawaz SHarif have always been given importance in the party.
He said it was the party that decided that Nawaz Sharif would be its Quaid after Supreme Court verdict against him.
