ISLAMABAD: The 20th death anniversary of acting legend of Pakistani cinema Agha Talish was observed today.
Agha Ali Abbas Qizilbash, who was known in film industry as Talish, was born in 1927 in Ludhiana, India.
He made his film debut in an Indian movie titled “Saraey Key Baher” in 1947 and later migrated to Pakistan after the Partition.
In Pakistan, he began working in films from 1955 with a film “Jheel Kinarey”.
Talish was a versatile actor and he played a variety of roles. He worked as hero, side-hero, villain, comedian and character actor in a large number of films.
His played various memorable roles in films like “Saat Lakh”, “Neend”, “Shaheed”, “Farangi”, “Kaneez”, “Lakhon Mein Aik”, “Neela Parbat”, “Zarqa”, ”Yeh Aman”, “Nag Muni”, “Umrao Jaan Ada”, “Zeenat”, “Angarey” and many more.
In all, Talish appeared in over 450 films and breathed his last on February 19, 1998 in Lahore.
