Famed American singer Demi Lovato is seeking to eradicate mental health stigma by offering her fans therapy and counselling sessions absolutely free of charge on her next tour.
Struggling with bipolar syndrome in the past, Demi has been quite vocal about psychological issues ever since.
"I had heard people joking about bipolar, as if it's that one minute you're sad, one minute you're happy. I was worried about the diagnosis at first; I didn't want anyone to think badly of me,” he was quoted by a newspaper as saying.
Using her voice for more than just singing, the ‘Heart Attack’ singer plans on providing free group therapies and motivational speeches before each show of her forthcoming ‘Tell Me You Love Me’ concert-tour.
“It’s basically like a therapy session before the concerts and we have speakers from all over. So it’ll be incredible, a very moving and inspiring experience,” shared Demi.
The therapies are a partnered effort of Demi and Cast – a mental health program where Demi sought help from in 2011 – to bring awareness about this sensitive issue that she is determined to address in her tour.
