Adventure enthusiasts are often faced by tough luck in the midst of their daredevil activities even with proper precautions.
A similar case was seen on Mount Maunganui in the North Island of New Zealand where a para-glider ready to take off was caught between a strong burst of wind that swept him into the air and hurled him down again.
The para-glider, identified by the username @draggonslayer on Instagram was smashed face-first into the side of the mountain with great force.
However, the valiant glider got back up unscathed and had enough senses to even look for one of his shoes that fell off during the fall.
The Secretary of the Bay of Plenty Gliding and Paragliding Club, Dominique Le Sellin noted that it is likely that ‘it could have been a rotor (turbulent air) that pulled him up’.
