LOS ANGELES: Ryan Reynolds, the ‘Deadpool 2’ star took to twitter to convey his take on the much talked about Walt Disney Company/21st Century Fox deal. The actor posted a photoshopped picture of Deadpool being escorted off the Disneyland premises by a security guard, with the caption, “Apparently you can’t actually blow the Matterhorn.”
The Disney-Fox merger deal, which has yet to be approved by federal regulators, has fans questioning what this will mean for Fox’s Deadpool assets.
Amid the tweet wars, where Deadpool’s language was pointed out of a mismatch with Disney’s healthful, family-friendly branding, as Deadpool is understood for his unsavory feedback, also brought Reynolds to ironic responses over the fate of his upcoming adult-oriented sequel.
“If this is true, I wonder how the fudge it would affect Deadpool?” the Canadian star tweeted.
However, there are conclusions rolling through the updates that Deadpool cannot be watered down, as his lengthy journey to the large display would counsel, being owned by Disney will not have an effect on the movie on that degree.
Disney CEO Bob Iger responded to blistering concerns over the Deadpool franchise, declaring "[Deadpool] clearly has been and will be Marvel branded," while he also mentioned that he's okay with R-rated films so long as they can get the messaging right, during a conference call where he discussed Disney's acquisition of Fox.
Deadpool 2 is expected to kickoff release in theaters on June 1, 2018, starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Josh Brolin, Zazie Beets, TJ Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapicic, Leslie Uggams, Jack Kesy, Karan Soni and Eddie Marsan among the star crew.
