KARACHI: Police, on the directives of judicial magistrate, exhumed the bodies of 24-year-old Hadi and 22-year old Husna from Orangi Town area of the metropolis on Monday. The teenagers were allegedly killed last week by their own relatives in the name of “honour” as they married with their free will.
As per details, the elders accused the couple of having brought dishonor to their community as they secretly married going out of their family's will.
The sad incident occurred at Mominabad area of Orangi Town, which falls in Karachi’s District West.
According to police, six suspects have so far been arrested in the case and the bodies of the couple have been sent for a postmortem examination.
This is the second such incident to have occurred in Karachi in the past months.
