ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said his party’s government depoliticized the police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which has started producing results.
Taking aim at Nawaz Sharif, he said the former prime minister who asked about new KP in his Abbottabad rally should know that it was the new KP where he chose to address the public without using bulletproof glasses.
He said ANP leader Asfandyar Wali Khan who used to stay abroad is also addressing public rallies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to the peace brought back by the police.
Imran Khan said his case was different from Nawaz Sharif since he has never been a public office holder.
He said he provided documentary evidence to corroborate his claims in the court but all Sharif family could bring in their defense was a Qatari letter.
The PTI chairman took an exception to the PMLN and allied parties for blocking the legislation that would have prevented a disqualified person from heading a political party.
He said most of the suspects in DI Khan and Mashal Khan cases have been arrested .
