MUMBAI: The third edition of ‘Don’ franchise will hit floors finally, however its release has been suspended for an indefinite period of time, according to sources.
The delay emerged as the film waits for the right script, as said film producer Ritesh Sidhwani. Currently the film is in its formative phase. “I am eagerly awaiting but I think we need to find the right script. Are we going to make it? The answer is yes. I don't exactly know the time,” explained Ritesh.
The earlier series released under the ‘Don’ franchise had mustered a lot of attention as well as made immense business when the first and second parts were released in 2006 and 2011 respectively
The film was originally released in 1978, starring Amitabh Bachchan. It was remade later, featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role after Ritesh and Farhan Akhtar bought the rights of the film.
