Corps Commander Karachi visits Rangers HQ, inspects seized weapons
KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar visited Rangers Headquarters on Thursday and inspected weapons seized during different operations, including those which were recovered during the raid at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Headquarters Nine Zero.

KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar visited Rangers Headquarters on Thursday and inspected weapons seized during different operations, including those which were recovered during the raid at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Headquarters Nine Zero.
The corps commander was briefed on the law and order situation in the city by Director General (DG) Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar. General Mukhtar was also briefed on the arrests made during the Nine Zero raid.
General Mukhtar also praised those Rangers personnel who had taken part in the raid at MQM’s headquarters.
Rangers carried out a raid at Nine Zero, the headquarters of MQM in Karachi on Wednesday and several people were taken into custody including ‘hardened criminals’.
A huge quantity of arms and ammunition, walkie talkies, binoculars and other military gear used by Nato forces in Afghanistan were also seized during the raid.
