Wasim, Waqar reunited in new PSL franchise

LAHORE: Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) new franchise, Multan Sultans, will reunite, once most feared bowling duo Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis in the Cricket world once again.

Younis will be the head coach of the team and mentor the franchise. Whereas, Wasim Akram’s role will be of director cricket operations of the franchise.

Wasim left the Islamabad United and is now part of the Multan Sultans. The signing of the agreement of the event will take place in Karachi in the third week of August.

Akram served in the United for two seasons, also won the championship during the opening of tournament in 2015.

Since Akram left the Islamabad united, former skipper Misbah-ul-Haq will be serving as a Mentor for the United to fill Akram’s place.

Waqar Younis to work with Multans in the PSL’s third season after the 6th group was added to the season. He was ignored for the first two seasons of PSL.
