LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London-based leader Altaf Hussain on Saturday asked the Pakistani community living in United Kingdom (UK) and other European countries to respect the law of the land.

Addressing a ceremony held to mark 13th birthday of his daughter, Afza Altaf’s, the MQM leader urged the Pakistani community in Europe to educate their children and make them productive citizens of the society.

“Keep your children away from the dark shadows of extremist organizations,” Altaf Hussain stressed.

He said Muslims should give their children basic education of Islam but it is also their duty to keep them away from extremist organizations which were responsible for shedding Muslim blood in the name of Islam.

“In reality, such organizations are the tools of those who want to tarnish the image of Islam and Muslims”, he added.

On the occasion, Mr. Hussain also distributed gifts among children and congratulated the nation over Pakistan cricket team’s 29-runs victory against the South Africa in a crucial world cup match earlier today.
