KARACHI: An exhibition of drawings and paintings ‘Inextricable love by Feica’ will be held from 22nd April to 28 April, 2017 at AfK Art Gallery, Karachi.
It’s been four decades since Feica started dabbling in art. Though he gained recognition as a cartoonist working for the country’s leading newspapers, he thinks of himself primarily as an artist for one simple reason: he sees life as an art form. In his words: "Whoever I meet, see or confront, including myself, and whatever situation I experience, it becomes a subject of art, of my art, of life as art."
The set of artworks on display is a reflection of Feica’s views on life, art and himself. He has chosen to call the show ’Inextricable Love’ because he feels love is one emotion from which human beings, no matter the adverse circumstances they go through, cannot detach themselves. The issues of power, greed and lust also come along, but eventually love conquers all.
