India terms death sentence of its spy ‘farcical’

Following the death sentence of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, admittedly involved in submerging activities — causing unrest and fueling sectarian violence in Baluchistan, Indian foreign ministry issued a demarche claiming the proceeding, which led to his death sentence, farcical.

 

 

Pakistani high commissioner in India, Abdul Basit, who was summoned today by Indian Foreign ministry to present the demarche to, replied, "first you conspire to create unrest in Pakistan, then you protest", added "sentencing a terrorist to death is justified"

Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested in a raid on March 3 last year from Baluchistan on charges of espionage in the country.
