ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday rejected an alleged statement attributed to nuclear scientist Dr Samar Mubarakmad and that he said is circulating on social media.
The minister posted a statement on his social media accounts saying "Samar Mubarikmand's statement is circulating on social media that he showed me his project in Thar and I asked him to stop the work.".
"I strongly deny this statement. The fact is that Dr Samarmubarik Mand was invited to Planning Commission to give presentation about his project. He wanted government to finance his project on commercial scale. He was asked to submit a third party validation report and a business plan for the project, which is still awaited."
