KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, on Monday, discharged IG Sindh Police A D Khawaja of all duties and sent him on forced leave.
Sources claimed that all responsibilities of AD Khawaja were handed over to Additional IG Mushtaq Meher. However, the AIG denied any such move had taken place and stated that no notification had been issued regarding the matter.
A D Khawaja was appointed IG Sindh Police in March of this year, after the Supreme Court of Pakistan had ordered the government remove former IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali.
