ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan seems quite unsatisfied with the performance of party’s top lawyers representing the PTI in the Panamagate case in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Geo News on Thursday reported that the PTI might replace Hamid Khan, the party’s senior leader and eminent lawyer, with Babar Awan, a senior lawyer and a former aide of Asif Ali Zardari. But the final decision in this regard is likely to be taken after Imran Khan's return from London.
The decision, according to Geo News, was taken at a meeting of party’s legal wing after the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing into the case and asked Hamid Khan to focus on documents submitted by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s children to corroborate their claims.
“We cannot scrutinize the entire life of Nawaz Sharif, said Justice Azmat Saeed before the apex court adjourned the hearing till November 30.
Some leaders of the PTI are said to have advised Imran Khan to seek replacement for Hamid Khan who they thought failed to effectively present the case. They also seemed unimpressed by the performance of Naeem Bukhari, another member of the PTI legal team who recently joined the party.
