ISLAMABAD: All roads leading to PTI chief Imran Khan's Bani Gala residence were sealed off by law enforcement agencies on Monday night.
In a bid to stop party leaders and workers from arriving at PTI chief Imran Khan's residence located at Bani Gala, a heavy contingent of police and FC personnel were stationed and all routes leading towards the place were sealed.
According to media reports, police had also been stationed around the mountainous routes to prevent people from reaching Khan's residence. PTI leaders had shared these routes via WhatsApp. Currently, an estimated 250-300 party workers are residing in Imran Khan's Bani Gala mansion in tents as the date for 'Islamabad Lockdown' approaches nearer.
Meanwhile, KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak led a caravan of PTI workers from Peshawar. The caravan of PTI workers were tear-gassed by police near Swabi and Attock bridge. The caravan is expected to resume their journey from Burhan Interchange tomorrow.
Police have cracked down against PTI workers and party leaders across Punjab as the government has imposed section 144 in the province as well.
