Justice Maqbool Baqar takes oath as SC judge

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Maqbool Baqar on Tuesday took oath as a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasirul Mulk here at a simple ceremony at the Chief Justice House.

The ceremony was attended by judges of the Supreme Court, the Attorney General of Pakistan, the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, the registrar of the Supreme Court, and other officers and staff of the apex court.

After Justice Baqar’s oath of office, the total number of serving Supreme Court judges has risen to 17.

Justice Faisal Arab takes oath as CJ SHC

Meanwhile, Justice Faisal Arab took oath of office as the new Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court (SHC).

The oath was adminstered by Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad. The ceremony was attended by judges of the High Court and subordinate courts, and members of bar associations.
