KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader and renowned scholar Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain has announced to quit MQM from today.
Talking in the programme of a private TV channel, Amir Liaquat said, “I am not part of MQM from today and I am leaving the party.” “I am also quitting Pakistani politics,” he added.
He also advised Altaf Hussain to quit MQM. Amir Liaquat said, “If Altaf can’t control his emotions and tongue he should also leave the politics and write books.”
“Pakistan is everything for me, whatever I am today it is all because of Pakistan,” Amir Liaquat remarked.
He also extended an apology over anti-Pakistan slogans and attack on media houses.
