RAWALPINDI: Top military brass on Friday reviewed progress on National Action Plan (NAP) and military operation Zarb-e-Azb in a meeting presided over by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at GHQ.
General Raheel Sharif said that lack of progress on the National Action Plan was affecting the consolidation phase of military operation Zarb-e-Azb.
“National Action Plan is a source to achieve our goals,” remarked the Army Chief.
General Raheel said war against terror was close to its logical end, however, statements and analysis from some quarters were affecting national goals.
Army Chief reiterated his resolve to root out terrorism from Pakistan and urged all the institutions to ensure elimination of this menace from the country with their close cooperation.
He said the entire nation stands by armed forces.
The high-level meeting was attended by Principle Staff Officers (PSOs), the Director-General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Corps Commander Rawalpindi.
