ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presided over a meeting related to the National Action Plan, on Tuesday.
According to details, PM Nawaz presided over a meeting to discuss the National Action Plan, one day after the Quetta blast struck terror and claimed more than 70 lives. Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security Naseer Janjua briefed the PM on the matter of striking the terrorists' soft targets.
Sources claimed that among the attendees of the meeting were also Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. Chaudhry Nisar also briefed the Prime Minister regarding the implementation of the National Action Plan and the intended steps to be taken in the future.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif spoke during the meeting and said that Pakistan was at war with an ideology, one which wanted to change the course of everyone's lives. He said that Pakistan was on the right path to progress and prosperity.
"Terrorists are targeting innocent people," said Nawaz Sharif during the meeting. "We will not let the sacrifices of the people of Quetta go in vain. The government will take steps to bring those who committed the act to justice," he added.
Nawaz said that terrorists were mistaken and that their ultimate aim was to sow the seeds of disunity and chaos among the people of Pakistan. He said that the government would give a peaceful and progressive Pakistan to its people.
"The whole nation is united against terrorism and supports activities that are undertaken against them," he said.
The Premier also called a meeting on Wednesday to further discuss the National Action Plan.
