KARACHI: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Chairman Pakistan People’s Party drove to the residence of renowned Qawwal Shaheed Amjad Sabri and offered condolence to the bereaved family including mother, Brother Sarwat Sabri, sisters, nephew Bilawal Sabri and daughters on Tuesday.
PPP Chairman was accompanied with Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal and his Political Secretary Jameel Soomro during the condolence visit, stated a press release issued by Bilawal House Media Cell.
Talking the grieved family, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he, himself being the victim of terrorists, can feel the depth of pain that the Sabri family is undergoing now. Mother of Shaheed Amjad Sabri described Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the heir of martyrs and herself being member of martyr’s family. Sarwat Sabri informed that he had named his son as Bilawal.
Bilawal Bhutto said that his Party will promote music, culture & religious harmony to combat the violent extremist mindset that robbed us of our national cultural assets.
It may be recalled that Ghulam Farid Sabri, father of Shaheed Amjad Sabri, had sung one the most popular song to eulogize Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
On the occasion, his brother Sarwat Sabri proposed steps by Sindh government to promote Sufi music including Qawwali to encourage brotherhood, harmony and peace in the society.
