Katy Perry puts her career in danger of 'extinction' with Blue Origin space trip?
Katy Perry has landed her entire career in jeopardy with her Blue Origin space expedition.
The Dark Horse singer took part in Monday's, April 14, 11-minute expedition in Jeff Bezos' commercial spacecraft along with CBS Mornings host Gayle King, businesswoman (and Bezos' fiancee) Lauren Sanchez, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, film producer Kerianne Flynn, and activist Amanda Nguyen.
However, what took place with an intention of sending out message of women empowerment has been blasted by the netizens with the women travelling called as mere 'space tourists', reported by Daily Mail.
Amongst the all-female crew, Orlando Bloom's girlfriend has faced severe backlash for her 'cringe-worthy' act after she exited the capsule.
Then, the emotional speech that she gave to the reporter – who called her an 'astronaut' – has also drawn flak for being 'tone-deaf' and 'embarrassing'.
Even during the flight, the Roar singer promoted her upcoming Lifetimes tour as she floated in zero gravity.
Since her return to Earth, social media users including fast food chain Wendy's and celebrities have shown hate to the Russell Brand's ex.
As Daily Mail calls it, 'her reputation is in tatters'.
The outlet shared reputation expert Eric Schiffer's thoughts on this: the damage is 'beyond repair'.
The expert labelled the 40-year-old as an 'out-of-touch' celebrity.
