Garcelle Beauvais cuts off RHOBH cast after abrupt exit from reunion
Garcelle Beauvais unfollows RHOBH cast members month after announcing exit
Garcelle Beauvais is clearly ready to turn the page after saying goodbye to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — and she's doing it with a few swift Instagram moves.
Less than a month after announcing her departure from the Bravo hit, Beauvais, 58, decided to hit the unfollow button on several of her former RHOBH castmates, including Sutton Stracke, Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, and Bozoma Saint John.
Interestingly enough, she’s still keeping tabs on Sutton’s store and event company pages, and hasn’t cut ties with Kathy Hilton or Jennifer Tilly either.
Meanwhile, in true Housewives fashion, Sutton, Richards, Kemsley, and Saint John are still following Garcelle — though Erika Girardi clearly didn’t waste time unfollowing right back.
Garcelle first shared her big exit news with fans on March 25, posting a video to Instagram that summed it all up.
"I have some news: I have decided to leave Beverly Hills," she revealed. "It’s been a wild ride, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened — but it’s been a ride nevertheless."
She explained her decision was deeply personal, wanting to be more present for her family.
"One of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family, my boys. Their last year of high school is next year and I want to be a part of that…And secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing and acting in — I can’t tell you anything now but you’ll know soon."
And because no Bravo exit is complete without a bit of a tease, she added, “Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime, the door will always be open, so you never know, I might pop back in sometime.”
Her time on the show officially wrapped with a bang during the season 14 reunion on April 15, where Garcelle decided she had enough — and wasn’t about to fake a happy family photo. "I'm out," she said, shaking her head. "I'm not. I'm not."
In a rare moment where she asked production to stop filming, she shared, "Guys, I'm not doing this anymore. I don't want cameras here," as she began changing out of her reunion dress. "And I never say I don't want cameras. I'm always a team player. But this — there's no team."
Garcelle didn’t hold back when reflecting on the moment, saying, "Everybody jumped at me and I felt like I was on an island by myself. I can't be friends with people like that, I can't trust them. I don't trust them and they obviously don't like me."
With her signature grace, she signed off on her RHOBH journey saying, "I'm done. It's been an amazing ride, I'm so grateful for the opportunity, but I'm done."
