Michelle Trachtenberg's family continues to mourn two months after her death
Michelle Trachtenberg's death still breaks her family's heart
Michelle Trachtenberg left a void when she breathed her last, but her family has not been able to fill the void yet.
The 17 Again actress was found unconscious February 26 in her New York City apartment.
Previously her cause of death was labelled 'undetermind'; however, recently the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner revealed to Us Weekly Wednesday, April 16, that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum had died of complications from diabetes mellitus.
Almost two months have passed since Blake Lively's former costar departed this world, but her family still grieves over the loss.
A source exclusively revealed to US Weekly, "The whole family is still very much in mourning and still devastated."
With reference to what led to her death, an insider told the outlet that the family of Gossip Girl actress was already aware of what could be the reason behind it.
"They were aware of her health issues, so it's not a surprise."
For the unversed, diabetes mellitus – according to Mayo Clinic – is a 'group of diseases that affect how the body uses blood sugar'.
