Armie Hammer’s ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers is addressing her experience in a toxic relationship for the first time.
The 42-year-old released a trailer for her sex-part docuseries, called Toxic, where she will be interviewing other victims of toxic relationships, while also reflecting on her own.
In the first trailer, Chambers was shown talking to a woman opens up about her trauma, and then she says, "When it comes to toxic relationships, no one is immune," as a picture of her and Hammer is shown on the rearview mirror of a car, as reported by People Magazine.
Chamber continued, "Navigating through my own heartbreak took me back to my roots as an investigative journalist," and then she is shown talking to experts and other people talking reflecting on their abusive relationships.
Chambers and the Rebecca actor got married in 2010 and parted ways in 2020. Chambers filed for divorce the same year and the couple were declared legally single in June 2023.
After their divorce, the Call Me by Your Name star was accused of abuse by multiple women but he denied the allegations.
Sharing the purpose for her investigative series, Chambers noted that she wants to "dive deeply into the attention" and "patterns" of toxic relationships in the docuseries, including "gaslighting, love-bombing, isolation and bald-faced lies."
She added, "The court of public opinion is very hard to reverse," in the trailer, while talking to a woman, "Rarely are men held accountable."
Chambers concluded, "I want to find the truth.”
Toxic is scheduled to premiere on Monday, May 5th.
