Brittany Cartwright gets real about struggles with ex Jax Taylor

Brittany Cartwright, known for her time on Vanderpump Rules and as the wife of former reality TV star Jax Taylor, recently opened up about the challenges she’s right now facing after their split.

The 36-year-old reality star ended her marriage with her The Valley co-star back in February 2024 after his massive struggles with addiction.

However, Brittany admitted that because her trust has been now broken, she finds it tough to let him be involved in their three-year-old son Cruz’s life.

She shared with PEOPLE Magazine: “He’s done so much damage, and me and Cruz weren’t enough for him to get help for a very long time. I want his dad to be in his life, but it’s just really hard when you can’t trust somebody. It’s going to take me a long time to regain trust in him, and that makes co-parenting extremely hard."

"I can just hope and pray that one day he will completely knock this, because I’m not sure yet," she added.

Brittany then admitted that she was "blindsided by love" and ignored Jax’s problems for a while, and now she's having doubts for letting him in again.
