Kim, Khloe Kardashian take subtle dig at dad Robert Kardashian Sr.’s wife

Kim and Khloe Kardashian hinted at a rift of their family with late dad Robert Kardashian Sr.’s wife Ellen Pierson.

The sisters were seen talking about their dreams of their father, who passed away in 2003 after battling with esophageal cancer, on the last episode of The Kardashians, on Thursday, April 10th.

Kim, 44, told Khloe, 40, that she saw their dad alive in her dream living in Los Angeles "with Ellen," whom he married in 2003, according to People Magazine.

She went on to say that she saw their dad hiding from them, to which Khloe responded, "Ew," seemingly signaling towards not so good terms with their step mother.

Khloe admitted that she too has dreams of their dad being alive “all the time.”

Later in a confessional, Kim asked her sister to remind her of the dream she had shared in the RV, and when Khloe mentioned Ellen, a producer confused her with Ellen DeGeneres.

The SKIMS founder corrected the producer with a laugh, saying, “No, his wife."

"That would’ve been the dream,” she added, further insinuating at some family drama.

This is not the first time the Kardashians have hinted at bad relationship with Ellen. In 2013, she sued the family for defamation, as per TMZ.

Ellen had allegedly claimed that the family and even the producer of their reality series, Ryan Seacrest, were trying to involve her on some shady business on the television series.

She called Kris a "manipulative and devious mother and ex-wife who simply used and exploited her children," at the time.
