Adolescence, the record-breaking mini-TV series, has been reportedly renewed for a follow-up season.
Seemingly, Brad Pitt’s production company 'Plan B' is having discussions with the show’s director Philip Barantini to come up with a 'new iteration' of the Netflix's hit series.
The crime drama follows the story of a 13-year-old boy named Jamie Miller, who has been accused of killing his female classmate and undergoes investigation.
The show has been created by Stephen Graham, who also plays James’s father Eddie Miller in the limited series.
'Plan B' presidents Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, in an interview with Deadline, shared that they have discussed the spin-off having the same name.
According to Gardner, the company is looking out for a suitable plot that must ‘widen the aperture, stay true to its DNA [and] not be repetitive’.
They absolutely have no intentions of capitalizing with the show’s success.
Owen Cooper starrer currently stands at number four on the streaming giant ‘s Most Popular English-language TV list having over 114.5 million views since its release in March.
Adolescence also stars Erin Doherty, Ashley Walters and Faye Marsay in pivotal roles.
