The Chateau singer took an Uber to buy pizza in New York City while his parents were visiting. When he existed the car, he "immediately realised" that the hard drive containing his new record was missing.

He said that it had "all of the songs not even just songs that are on the album but like bunch of s--."

Keery took out his phone to contact the driver but unfortunately his cell phone was dead. He then saw a car and started chasing after it.

"It's situation where I'm running and then the car hits a red light and then I'm getting closer, I'm getting closer and then it drives away and hits another red light," he recalled.

The Runner crooner added that he was "panting" when he finally made it to a car on knocking the car window he released it was a different Uber, leaving him "distraught."

He ran again, afraid that someone will get their hands on the drive. On top of that Keery also couldn’t recalled if the hard drive was password protected.

Eventually, the 32 year old artist went back to his hotel "feeling sick from all the running" charged his phone and contacted the driver. Luckily the hard drive fell under the seat and driver returned it to the musician safe and sound.

According to Pitchfork, Keery described his album as "a hotel housing guests who are all, in one way or another, at crossroads in their life."

Rolling Stone also reviewed the album saying it is the "best music of his career."

The Crux was dropped on April 4, and became a massive hit in no time.
