Kanye West shares candid thoughts on being snubbed for the Super Bowl halftime show, accusing Taylor Swift of consistently getting in the way.
The 47-year-old rapper claimed his rivalry with the popstar has held him back from securing a top spot as a performer.
Throwing shade at the Anti-hero hitmaker, he claimed in a since-deleted X post, “I never was allowed to do the Super Bowl because of three moments. George Bush don’t care about Black people. The Taylor Swift movement moment. Wearing a MAGA hat.”
This incident follows 15 years of enmity between West and Swift, dating back to when he interrupted her 2009 MTV Video Music Awards speech, snubbing her for Beyoncé.
Taking the microphone from Taylor, he said at the time, “Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish. But Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all-time! One of the best videos of all-time.”
Kanye had previously claimed the 35-year-old gave him permission to call her a 'B**' in his song lyrics, referencing their infamous VMAs clash.
The Grammy winner swiftly denied the claims, further fuelling her longstanding feud with the rapper.
Other musicians who have previously performed at the Super Bowl include Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Beyonce, The Weeknd, and Lady Gaga.
