Will Smith has finally teased a sequel to his most popular action-sci film, I am Legend.
However, Smith’s character of Dr. Robert Neville dies in the end of the 2007 movie.
But the actor has revealed that the makers will be moving ahead with an alternative ending where his character lives and there will be a continuation to the story.
While spilling insights about the plans of a new movie, the Bad Boys actor shared where the makers are heading.
“What we were gonna do is the prequel,” Will opened during his chat on the Drink Champs Podcast.
Meanwhile, there were rumours that Michael B. Jordan is going to feature in the second installment as a newcomer.
Therefore, the 56-year-old has also cleared the air about Jordan’s casting as he stated, “Michael B. Jordan’s character currently is the head of a new settlement … in Connecticut.”
Rumours had it that the Creed actor is set to play Smith’s son. But the Men in Black actor has also clarified that Michael won’t be playing his offspring.
However, he did not spill much details about the 38-year-old actor’s role in the upcoming film.
Backed by Warner Bros, I am Legend is a Francis Lawrence directorial following the story of a scientist, who is the last human survivor of a plague in the New York City.
