Travis Kelce sets record clear about online rumours after big decision

Travis Kelce made it clear that he would not let rumours slide about him after social media flooded with articles spreading fake news about him.

The 35-year-old athlete, who runs 87 & Running Foundation to help disadvantaged youth in achieving their goals, was rumoured to have bought a $3.3 million house which would serve as a temporary house for the homeless.

However, setting record clear, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said, “I gotta make a little statement in the ‘don’t believe everything you read, kids’ category or nice realm that you see online,” on his podcast, New Heights, with Jason Kelce, on Wednesday, April 9th.

“Some false claims were thrown out there that I was doing something in the community that I was not, and I’m not even gonna talk about it specifically. I don’t want to bring any more attention to that whole nonsense and article and all that stuff,” he added.

Travis clarified that if fans “ever want to know exactly what I’m doing in the community, just go to 87running.org.”

He continued, “We’re always trying to get out there in and get in the Kansas City communities and the Cleveland community,” he continued. “But this time, I wasn’t doing what was falsely claimed by the social channels or the outlets posting all this A.I. stuff. So, just wanted to set the record straight.”

At the end of his message, Travis concluded, “Appreciate everybody for always trying to show love.”

This comes after it was reported that the NFL star has decided to focus on his football career this year and take a break from the public eye.

An insider said that Travis “wants to take [a breather] from the public eye” after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIX loss in February. “He was working too much last year, and he didn’t play as well as he wanted. He wants to have a good season and not have the focus be on his relationship with Taylor."
