Taylor Swift gets sued with $30 million lawsuit?
Taylor Swift hit with another lawsuit amid Blake Lively drama
Taylor Swift, who is known for her poetic songwriting, has shockingly been accused of borrowing her lyrics from another poet.
The poet, Teresa La Dart Marasco, is based in Florida and she claimed that the pop superstar and her production company used her work across multiple albums.
Marasco filed the complaint earlier this month but, according to Marco.com, he has been unable to reach the Anti-Hero hitmaker to send her the legal documents.
The poet further claimed that her similar case that she filed in 2023 resulted in the same consequences because of the inability to locate the Grammy winner.
In the recently filed lawsuit, Marasco accused Swift of including her poetry into songs from the albums, Lover, Folklore, Midnights, and The Tortured Poets Department, alleging a "pattern of intellectual property theft."
Marasco claimed that she first grew suspicious of the singer after attending one of her Eras Tour performances. "That is when she discovered the infringement and went back to her earlier albums to check other songs since there were so many found," she alleged in the lawsuit.
Although Swift’s legal team has already dismissed the allegations, the singer or her reps have been unresponsive.
This comes after the Love Story songstress is already involved in Blake Lively’s case against Justin Baldoni. The legal drama caused a rift between the friends and Swift has taken distance from the situation.
