Karan Johar couldn’t hold back his admiration to the 2025 drama series Adolescence.
The Indian filmmaker, who garnered recognition for his cinematic masterpieces, once again showered praise on the British series after it was named Netflix’s all-time most popular TV show.
Taking to Instagram, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director reposted the exciting update on his story, saying, "A true victory of storytelling with a massive purpose!!! No better show than this..."
Adolescence, directed by Philip Barantini, has received widespread acclaim since its release.
According to Hindustan Times, the mini-series has received 96.7 million views in just 17 days, surpassing hit shows like Stranger Things 3 and Bridgerton 2.
Meanwhile, this comes after the 52-year-old producer previously shared his review of the show on his Instagram last week.
Heaping praise, he penned, “Adolescence is a wake-up loud call to parents who are raising children in times of social media … I grew up on conversations they speak in emojis … I grew up on books they scroll reels .. I grew up on self discovery they are surrounded by comparisons … the pandemic is NOW! We just don’t see it …."
The Koffee With Karan host even called Adolescence a “blasterclass” for parents.
For the unversed, the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham director is eagerly awaiting the release of two period dramas he has produced, Akaal and Kesari: Chapter 2 .
